Key Responsibilities:* Provide timely accounting and financial information to support the preparation of financial reports. * Coordinate accounting closings * Design and supervise tax strategies that optimize the tax burden within the current legal framework. * Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and municipal tax obligations (ISR, IVA, withholdings, DIOT, etc.). * Review and authorize monthly, annual, and informational tax filings. * Coordinate responses to tax audits (SAT) and represent the company before these authorities. * Implement internal controls to mitigate tax risks and prevent contingencies. * Analyze tax impacts on investment projects, financing, or new business lines. * Ensure continuous updating of applicable tax and accounting regulations for the company. * Coordinate that daily operations are properly recorded, ensuring each transaction has the corresponding journal entry. * Support internal and external audits to verify that accounting and financial information aligns with good accounting practices and current legislation. * Achieve an unqualified Financial Audit Opinion. * Obtain acceptable rating in the Internal Audit Report. * Coordinate account reconciliations of the balance sheet accurately and on time (with focus on timely and accurate bank reconciliations). * Trial Balance. * Coordinate fixed asset control regarding its accounting records, inventory, and proper custody. * Coordinate and manage the accounting team to achieve department goals and objectives.
