




**Job Summary** Nidec Aerospace is seeking a qualified Quality Assurance Engineer II that will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of aerospace electrical motors throughout their lifecycle, with a strong focus on the product launch phase. This role involves developing and implementing quality control systems, conducting audits and inspections, and collaborating with the Design engineering team to ensure seamless integration of new products into manufacturing processes. **Job Description** The individual is responsible for: * Lead the supplier approval process, conduct the quality systems audit process on site to include follow\-up and closure of open items discovered during audits. * Qualify new suppliers and assess their manufacturing capabilities aligned with Design Engineers for aerospace requirements. * Supplier Auditing \& Assessment: Conduct pre\-selection evaluations, audits, and ongoing performance reviews to ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards. * Quality Issue Resolution: Serve as the primary contact for supplier quality issues, drive root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions using tools like 8D and Six Sigma methodology. * Assist product managers in supplier business reviews. * Performance Monitoring: Define, track and monitor supplier KPIs to evaluate performance and initiate improvement plans. * Cross\-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with purchasing, engineering, and production teams to align quality requirements and drive supplier improvements. * Compliance \& Standards: Ensure supplier products meet applicable standards such as AS9100, customer and internal specifications. * Monitor and verify effectiveness of suppliers quality improvements. * Maintain the Approved Supplier List (ASL) and review supplier documentation, including quality records and traceability. * Follow up closely First Article Inspections (FAI) in accordance with AS9102 with suppliers * Support quality team (QE/APQP) * Develop procedures for incoming inspection process as well as inspection methods * Assist suppliers to maintain 100% PPAP compliance for all pre\-preproduction builds and production builds Technical Attributes and Experience * Minimum, M.S. degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering. * Experience: \+ 5 years in supplier quality or quality engineering within a manufacturing environment Preferred in Aerospace industry. * Understanding of manufacturing processes ,mechanical system and assembly operations * General knowledge for the use of GD\&T to verify that parts meet the specified tolerances using tools such as CMMs, Calipérs and micrometers, Optical comparators , and a clear criteria for pass/fail decisions defined on design documents. * Willingness and documentation to travel domestically and internationally, sometimes on short notice (American visa and Passport) * Spanish and English proficient * Ability to interpret engineering drawings and use metrology tools. * Auditing Skills * Strong analytical and problem\-solving capabilities. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Effective planning, leadership, and time management. PREFERRED:Proficiency in 8D, Six Sigma, SPC, Control Plan, FMEA.Full understanding and training evidence for AS9145 APQP\-PPAP.Familiarity with QMS standards.
