These products are developed in collaboration with market leaders (Netflix, Broadcom, Amazon, Apple, etc.). Your assignment will be based in Mexico City, within Sagemcom MEXICO’s Audio & Video Solutions Support Team. You will collaborate closely with the Audio & Video Solutions R&D teams located in Bécon-les-Bruyères (France) and Tunis (Tunisia). ### **Mission Description** This VIE opportunity allows you to work on integrating and developing advanced technologies within telecom operator system environments. You will participate in designing and optimizing embedded solutions for innovative products. Technical Responsibilities: * Embedded firmware development and evolution: design, implementation, and optimization of features for existing and new products. * Advanced software integration: adding and adapting modules, network protocols (TCP/IP, Wi-Fi, EasyMesh), drivers, and services into embedded Linux environments (Buildroot). * Defect resolution: analysis and correction of bugs reported by QA teams (Sagemcom, Totalplay) or identified in production. * Technical documentation: writing detailed specifications, creating and tracking Jira tickets, development reports, and integration guides. * Technical collaboration: coordination with architecture, QA, and support teams to ensure consistency and quality of deliverables. * Proficiency with tools and environments: C/C++ development, Shell scripting, Git/GitLab, CI/CD, cross-compilation, debugging with GDB and memory analysis tools (Valgrind). ### **Required Profile:** You hold an engineering degree and possess knowledge in telecommunications, IP networking, and digital TV. Prior experience in the following technological areas will be highly valued: Embedded Linux, Real-Time systems, Networking, and the C programming language. Programming Languages: C/C++ (advanced proficiency), Shell scripting. Embedded Systems: Embedded Linux (Buildroot), cross-compilation, driver management. Development Tools: Git/GitLab, CI/CD, GDB, Valgrind, profiling and debugging tools. Protocols and Connectivity: TCP/IP, Wi-Fi, EasyMesh, DHCP, DNS. Low-Level Optimization: memory management, multi-threading, CPU performance. Software Architecture: module integration, adaptation to hardware constraints. Additional Skills: Familiarity with STB, router, or IoT environments. Experience using Jira for ticket management and development tracking. Solid understanding of network architectures and real-time constraints. You are an effective communicator, rigorous, and detail-oriented. You possess strong analytical and synthesis skills and can work autonomously. You are fluent in English and Spanish. Finally, occasional travel to other European countries may be required.
