




**Position Summary:** The Accounting Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day\-to\-day accounting operations, including Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), payroll, and operational treasury activities. This role ensures the accuracy and integrity of accounting information, maintains compliance with accounting principles and company policies, and supports the LATAM Controller in financial reporting and analysis. **Job Status:** * Full\-Time * Salaried * Reports to: Regional Controller LATAM * Location: Mexicali, B. C. **Role Responsibilities:** **Accounts Receivable (AR):** * Oversee the AR function in close coordination with the Credit and Collections department, ensuring timely and accurate collections while maintaining portfolio health. * Coordinate with other departments, such as Sales, Customer Service, and Finance, to ensure alignment and effective communication regarding AR activities. * Notify Business Unit Managers of significant AR issues, such as accounts aged past 60 days or major discrepancies. * Monitor AR activities and workflows to ensure efficiency and compliance with company policies. **Accounts Payable (AP):** * Manage the AP process, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments. * Review and approve payment runs, ensuring appropriate documentation and authorization. * Supervise the AP team to ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices, expense reports, and payments. * Prepare and review AP aging reports, providing insights and recommendations to senior management. * Oversee the resolution of complex issues with vendors and employees related to invoices, payments, and expense reports. * Assist in the development and execution of AP strategies to support the company’s financial goals. * Manage AP\-related projects and initiatives as needed. **Pa****yroll:** * Supervise payroll processing to ensure accurate and timely payment of wages. * Review and approve payroll files, ensuring staff's monthly\-bi\-weekly payroll is accurate. * Ensure compliance with all relevant labor laws and payroll tax regulations. * Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting principles, and regulatory requirements in all payroll activities. * and review payroll reports, providing insights and recommendations to senior management. * Analyze payroll data to identify trends, potential issues, and opportunities for process improvements. * Assist in the development and execution of payroll strategies to support the company’s financial goals. **Operational Treasury and banking:** * Oversee daily cash management activities, including cash flow forecasting and monitoring. * Ensure compliance with internal controls and policies related to cash handling. * Review all banks, ensuring files are fully reconciled and include appropriate supporting documentation. * Review Group’s Cash pooling accounts, ensuring files are fully reconciled, interest invoices are issued to ICOs and appropriate supporting documentation are included. **Compliance and Reporting**: * Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies and procedures. * Oversee the preparation of audit documentation and support external and internal audit processes related to AR, AP, and payroll. * Provide necessary information and schedules to external auditors during the annual financial audit. * Assist the Regional Controller in financial reporting and analysis, identifying trends, and providing recommendations for improving financial performance. **Budgeting \& Forecasting:** * Work with various departments to develop accurate budgets and forecasts that align with strategic goals. **Team Leadership \& Development:** * Lead, mentor, and manage a team of accountants across the region, providing guidance and training to ensure the team’s success. * Conduct regular performance reviews, set objectives, and provide opportunities for professional development. **Tax Compliance:** * Coordinate with local finance teams and external advisors to ensure timely and accurate filing of all tax returns, including VAT, income tax, and other statutory filings as required by each country. * Monitor and ensure compliance with local tax laws and regulations across the region. **Process Improvement \& Systems Management:** * Identify opportunities for improving financial processes and systems within the region, driving efficiencies and automation where possible. * Work closely with the IT and finance teams to implement and maintain accounting software systems, ensuring that financial data is accurately captured and reported. **Coordination with Global Finance Team:** * Liaise with the Global Finance team to ensure alignment with global financial strategies, policies, and reporting standards. * Support global finance initiatives, including system upgrades, policy rollouts, and strategic financial projects. **Ad\-Hoc Projects:** * Support the Regional Controller with ad\-hoc financial projects and analysis as required, including M\&A activities, financial restructuring, and strategic planning. **Education:** * Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required. * CPA, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification is strongly preferred. **Experience / Skills / Abilities:** * Minimum of 7\-10 years of accounting experience, with at least 3\-5 years in a managerial role overseeing multiple countries or business units. * Strong knowledge of GAAP/IFRS and local accounting regulations across multiple jurisdictions. * Experience in a multinational company is highly desirable. * Excellent financial reporting and analytical skills. * Strong leadership and team management abilities. * Proficient in accounting software systems (JD Edwards, SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems). * Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. * Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across cultures and geographies. * Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast\-paced environment and meet tight deadlines. * Fluency in English is required. **Job Expectations / Working Conditions:** * Work in an office environment, with potential interaction across global teams in different time zones. * Flexible working hours may be necessary to accommodate month\-end and year\-end
