Due to expansion, we are seeking: **Laboratory Coordinator – Raw Materials** (*Entomology*) **Requirements and Knowledge for the Position** * Relevant professional background (Agronomist, Biologist, Entomologist) * Master’s degree and/or Ph.D. preferred * Experience in flour mills or working with corn, wheat, and rice * Coordinate and execute applied activities on grains (corn and wheat) and intermediate products, ensuring insect control, quality, food safety, and regulatory compliance within the laboratory and storage/processing areas. * Monitor and identify primary and secondary insects in grain and processing stages * Determine infestation levels and their impact on quality and food safety * Design and implement statistical sampling plans for grain receipt, storage, processing, and final product * Analyze results using statistical tools * Prepare technical reports and trend analyses * Validate analytical methods (visual inspection, sieving, traps, counting) * Coordinate activities with external MIP (Integrated Pest Management) service providers * Halt or reject batches when entomological risk is present * Manage and present KPIs: infestation levels, sampling frequency, storage conditions, etc. * English proficiency sufficient for conversation and reading/understanding technical manuals * Statistical software (SAS, Minitab, Statistica) **Salary and Benefits** * Monthly gross salary range: MXN $54,000 * Bi-weekly payroll via Banorte * 30-day year-end bonus (aguinaldo) * Savings fund * Credit union (caja de ahorro) * Monthly grocery vouchers * Life insurance * 100% employer contribution to social security **Additional Benefits** * Scholarships and academic support * Commercial agreements (healthcare, financial planning, entertainment, food, education) * Profit sharing * Product sales program * Various forms of employee assistance **Working Hours:** Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM **At GRUMA and its divisions, recruitment and selection processes are free of charge and fully covered by the company.
