Provide technical support and mentorship to technicians Responsibilities: • Lead multiple automation projects simultaneously from concept to completion, including requirements gathering, system design, programming, testing, and commissioning. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (maintenance, product engineering, quality, operations, and IT) to integrate automation solutions into existing infrastructure. • Utilize LEAN principles to define project scopes that improve factory process flow and optimize ROI or other KPIs through automation. • Ensure all engineering solutions meet safety, quality, cost, and throughput expectations. • Provide technical support and mentorship to technicians in the installation, maintenance, and repair of automation equipment. • Maintain detailed documentation for automation systems, including technical specifications, operating procedures, and user manuals. • Stay current with industry trends and advancements in automation technologies to recommend and implement innovative solutions. • Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies. • Own technical leadership of projects, leveraging existing knowledge or acquiring new skills to serve as subject matter expert. Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus. • 2–3 years of proven experience as an Automation Engineer or similar role in a manufacturing environment. • Strong proficiency in PLC programming (Allen-Bradley ControlLogix/CompactLogix/MicroLogix, Siemens, etc.), and HMI/SCADA systems. • Basic understanding of servo motors, VFDs, and industrial communication protocols (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profibus). • Experience with multi-axis robots, motion control systems, and vision systems is highly desirable.
