




Job Summary: We are seeking a Demand Planner with experience in generating predictive and strategic forecasts, leveraging AI to optimize the supply chain and align internal processes. We are currently seeking: DEMAND PLANNER JOB OBJECTIVE: The objective of this position is to deliver an AI-driven demand forecast that meets Grupo Herdez’s accuracy requirements within established timelines and formats, thereby providing the foundational alignment for all supply chain processes across internal organizational customers, as well as implementing best practices in short-, medium-, and long-term demand planning within the company. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: • Execute the forecasting process for assigned organization’s finished products • Analyze and clean historical data to establish a pure statistical baseline • Manage the generation of forecasts at both aggregated and detailed levels, based on organizational needs • Understand changes in the product portfolio • Develop econometric models to enable long-term forecasting of category and channel behavior, serving as a tool for sales in defining long-term brand-level forecasts • Challenge sales and marketing managers regarding market variables affecting forecast management • Manage necessary agreements to achieve a sales consensus forecast endorsed by commercial stakeholders • Adhere to the schedule enabling short-, medium-, and long-term production and inventory planning processes • Comply with and monitor adherence to forecast consumption rules, which serve as input for the inventory planner • Understand differences among statistical, budgeted, and commercially collaborated forecasts—including their financial impact • Ensure and secure sales commitment • Monitor short- and medium-term supply variations • Prepare demand and supply meetings to reach consensus on agreements that guide supply chain execution • Participate in launch forums to incorporate new products into demand planning • Continuously seek feedback to identify improvement opportunities, supporting ongoing development of competencies and skills REQUIREMENTS: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or Actuarial Science Experience: Minimum 2 years: • Generating predictive, descriptive, and statistical forecasts while ensuring data accuracy for decision-making. • Developing strategic projections by integrating external variables (macroeconomic factors, market trends) and internal factors (promotions, product launches, operational capacity). • Experience in Collaborative Planning, Forecasting and Replenishment (CPFR) to align objectives with commercial partners and suppliers. Technical Knowledge: • Understanding of supply chain, inventory planning, production scheduling, and distribution networks. • Knowledge of Integrated Business Planning (IBP), facilitating alignment among Sales, Finance, Marketing, and Operations. • Proficiency in statistical forecasting models. • Knowledge of AI application • Knowledge of descriptive and predictive algorithms. • APICS certification preferred Technological Knowledge: • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) • Experience with predictive and descriptive modeling software such as Oracle/Cloud, Logility, or RELEX. • Knowledge of SAP or equivalent ERP system.
