Diner consultation and staff training **Sommelier – Fine Dining** **Position Objective** Ensure a holistic gastronomic experience through proper management, recommendation, and service of wines and beverages, maximizing customer satisfaction, average check size, and cellar profitability. **Requirements** * Sommelier certification (WSET, Court of Master Sommeliers, or equivalent) * Bachelor’s degree in Gastronomy, Hospitality, or related field (preferred) * **Experience:** 3–5 years as a Sommelier in fine dining restaurants or luxury hotels * Experience with international cuisine and high-level wine pairing **Languages:** * Advanced English (mandatory) **Main Responsibilities** * Advise diners on wine and beverage selection * Execute menu-appropriate wine pairings * Deliver wine service according to fine dining standards * Manage and control the cellar (inventory, shrinkage, rotation) * Develop and update the wine list * Train floor staff in wine culture and suggestive selling * Coordinate with Executive Chef on gastronomic proposals * Negotiate with suppliers and source exclusive new labels * Increase average check size through sales strategies Offer: * Salary negotiable based on experience * Service hours (availability to work in the Polanco area) * Benefits Position Type: Probationary period Contract Duration: 3 months Salary: Starting from $12,000.00 per month Application Question(s): * What is your salary expectation? * What is your availability to start working? * Please provide a contact location where we may call to request references.
