Curiosity for learning and development within a growing company The Android Development Engineer for the G4S project is a Computer Science Engineer with experience in developing Android mobile applications using Java and Kotlin. Primary responsibilities include implementing new customer-requested features and resolving incidents encountered in production environments. **What would your responsibilities be?** * Participate in the development process following agile methodologies. * Join calls with clients and various development teams to clarify / agree upon required actions. * Develop new features. Deliver fully implemented agreed-upon functionality directly to the client within short timeframes. * Resolve system incidents. * Design SQL databases and perform database manipulation. * Modify existing database structures. * Collaborate to maintain and improve code technical quality. * Develop new features and analyze issues in production environments involving software-hardware interaction. * Stay updated and continuously prepare. **Requirements:** * Bachelor's degree in Computer Systems Engineering or related field. * 4–5 years of demonstrable experience in Android mobile application development. * English proficiency level at least C1\. * Native **Android programming.** * Desired but not mandatory: knowledge of **Java, Kotlin, Retrofit or Volley libraries.** * Experience writing unit tests **(JUnit, Android Test, Espresso)** * Design and consumption of REST APIs. * Experience working with the Linux operating system. * Experience with open-source **SQL databases** (PostgreSQL, MySQL). * Availability to conduct on-site visits at client facilities. **Required Competencies:** * Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly; collaborative work with design teams; focus on resolving complex problems. * Analytical mindset with capability to deduce root causes of complex issues. * Ability to concentrate under pressure. * Willingness to perform tasks across different roles. * Curiosity for learning; self-taught capability. * **Interest in professional growth within a small, growing company.** **What do we offer?** * Hybrid work modality. * Flexible working hours. * Paid time off. * Statutory benefits. * Nominal salary: $36,000 per month We would be delighted to have the opportunity to grow together!
