**Kitchen General Assistant – Chili Guajili** **Location:** San Sebastian Tutla / Zócalo / Plaza Bella **Schedule:** Morning and afternoon shifts (includes weekends and holidays) **Position Purpose** Responsible for supporting general kitchen tasks such as ingredient preparation, maintaining order and cleanliness, and assisting in food production, under the supervision of cooks and kitchen managers. This role is essential to ensure smooth and efficient kitchen operations. **Main Responsibilities** * Wash, peel, chop, and prepare ingredients required for recipes (vegetables, fruits, meats, etc.). * Assist in preparing mise en place for cooks, ensuring ingredients are ready and organized. * Perform basic cooking tasks such as beating, mixing, or cooking under supervision. * Help assemble and decorate dishes when necessary. * Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout the shift, ensuring utensils and equipment are properly arranged. * Clean and disinfect work surfaces, utensils, and equipment according to hygiene and food safety regulations. * Manage proper cleaning and storage of leftover ingredients. * Clean common kitchen areas such as floors, walls, sinks, and storage areas. * Assist in serving dishes on the assembly line for customer delivery, ensuring correct presentation, and specifically assist the grill or sauté station during peak times. * Transport food and supplies to different areas of the kitchen as needed by cooks or kitchen supervisors. * Help manage inventory of ingredients and basic supplies, reporting any shortages or irregularities to the kitchen manager or purchasing responsible. * Ensure proper ingredient rotation (FIFO) to prevent waste or use of spoiled products. * Follow all hygiene and food safety rules, ensuring proper food handling. * Comply with food safety regulations (HACCP, temperature control, raw product handling, etc.). * Collaborate closely with other kitchen assistants and cooks to ensure efficient operational flow. * Be flexible and willing to take on different tasks according to the kitchen team's needs. **We Offer** ✅ Base salary \+ tips \+ bonuses ✅ Statutory benefits ✅ Initial and ongoing training ✅ Dynamic and learning-oriented environment ✅ Employee meals, unlimited beverages ✅ Birthday consumption coupon ✅ Employee discount at Chili restaurants If you are passionate about cooking and looking for a place where you can showcase your talent, join the Chili Guajili family!
