**PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:**
The Process Engineer role is critical to UMS development at the factory. Its primary objective is to achieve Zero Waste, Zero Defects, and Zero Losses. It will broadly apply quality and continuous process improvement methods and tools, and also identify losses and improvement opportunities across all factory areas (Safety, Quality, Cost Deployment pillar, Customer Service, and Logistics).
The role requires direct collaboration with production lines and includes a Technical Coach function to identify improvement opportunities, conduct root cause analysis, and establish countermeasures.
It is responsible for validating all improvement processes and establishing baseline conditions on each line. One of its key deliverables is eliminating losses, increasing line stability, and supporting the transition from traditional lines to semi-autonomous equipment.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:**
* Continuously review the technology used by the category to produce and define constant improvements for each line.
* Build world-class relationships to eliminate losses and ensure inefficiency costs are not passed on to our customers and consumers.
* Provide real-time, accurate information to support agile decision-making.
* Support teams in transforming the site into an increasingly autonomous plant; this requires building capable teams and possessing the ability to train others on new tools and technologies, while ensuring alignment of information and knowledge across teams.
* Apply technical engineering knowledge to solve problems in a practical and agile manner.
* Apply all UMS-aligned tools and methods to identify loss causes, define countermeasures, and validate their effectiveness (R2S, SMED, CENTERLINES, SPC).
* Identify, replicate, and extend globally standardized best manufacturing practices to other lines.
* It is the leaders’ responsibility to identify risks present in their areas, prioritize them appropriately, and establish necessary controls and defenses for mitigation. They must ensure timely reporting and closure of unsafe condition cards, lead incident investigations involving their personnel, properly manage changes (MOC) related to engineering projects or Kaizen initiatives, and close accident investigation actions, MOCS audit findings, and related actions on time and in full. Finally, they are obligated to immediately stop any operation where their personnel face uncontrolled risk, always prioritizing safety.
**WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:**
**EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:**
* Engineering degree (Industrial, Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical)
* Six Sigma, PMP, or Lean Manufacturing certifications preferred
* Intermediate-Advanced English
* Knowledge: SAP usage, Master Production Schedule, Production Order management, Cost optimization, reduction of scrap and waste
* Advanced Office suite proficiency
* Minitab
**WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT:**
* A performance-driven culture with freedom to act, challenge, and grow—your success is measured by your impact.
* A company that celebrates joy, innovation, and purpose: we build extraordinary careers, just as our ice cream creates extraordinary moments.
