Semi-Senior Java Developer

We are looking for a Semi-Senior Java Developer to manage the software development lifecycle—from planning and prioritization through testing and release. Key responsibilities of the Java Developer include gathering system and user requirements, developing Java modules, and testing features prior to release. If you also have hands-on experience developing software using Agile methodologies and are ready to lead our junior developers, we would love for you to join Biometría Aplicada. **Required Knowledge:** * Java 1\.8, 11 or later * Microservices * Databases * Version control (git) * Secure development **Responsibilities** \* Design and develop new Java-based features and applications. \* Develop microservices using Spring Boot and Spring Cloud. \* Develop and maintain Windows/Linux services. \* Administer and optimize relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL. \* Manage Git repositories and apply secure development best practices. \* Identify and mitigate vulnerabilities, ensuring application quality and stability. \* Maintain and enhance existing applications, guaranteeing performance, scalability, and maintainability. \* Participate in code reviews, technical planning, and incident resolution. \* Detect and resolve bugs and bottlenecks. \* Collaborate with Backend, QA, and Product teams to ensure high-quality deliveries. \* Stay current with development trends, tools, and best practices. \* Integrate solutions with SDKs and vendor tools. **Mandatory Requirements** **\* Bachelor's degree or Engineering degree in Computer Science or related field (degree required).** \* 3–5 years of verifiable Java development experience. \* Strong expertise in Spring Boot and Spring Cloud. \* Knowledge of software architecture and design patterns. \* Experience developing and integrating RESTful APIs. \* Proficiency with tools such as Git, Maven, and Gradle. \* Experience with IDEs such as IntelliJ IDEA, Eclipse, VS Code, or similar. \* Ability to write clean, documented, and testable code. **Desirable Qualifications** \* Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.). \* Experience with unit testing and UI test automation. \* Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum). \* Experience with continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) processes. \-\-Valid official certifications related to Java, Cloud, and backend development will be considered a plus. **We Offer:** * 100% payroll * Statutory and above-statutory benefits * Hybrid work model * Working hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM Dear Candidate/User/Applicant, by accepting this interview, you authorize and agree to the use, transfer, and collection of your information (for talent acquisition purposes), as detailed in our Privacy Notice.
