EDUCATION: Engineering Degree EXPERIENCE: 3\-5 years experience REQUIREMENTS: * Manage new part programs at the individual component level, ensuring completion of assigned activity * Apply a basic knowledge of engineering principles, established engineering procedures and automotive engineering to complete assigned activities * Establish and expand skills in reverse engineering aftermarket products, building a strong foundation in part design and validation processes of the Engineering department * Demonstrate a thorough understanding of Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and basic project management principles * Prepare and complete sample approvals, testing requests; evaluate test results, and publish final test reports * Support engineering quality issue resolution, evaluate returned products for failure mode, and provide actionable feedback * Collaborate with manufacturing facilities to ensure manufacturability of designs, participate in feasibility reviews, and assist in implementing new materials and designs * Develop a comprehensive understanding of customary materials and conceptualize designs * Possess sufficient product knowledge to work closely with suppliers on product development activities * Create and understand component drawings, ensuring full dimensioning and correct specification per engineering standards and procedures, * Exhibit proficiency in Microsoft Office tools for project management
