Maintenance Operator

Description

Job Summary: Perform comprehensive corrective and preventive maintenance in guest rooms, common areas, and equipment to ensure operational continuity and provide technical support to guests and staff. Key Responsibilities: 1. Preventive and corrective maintenance of facilities 2. Immediate response to guest requests and operational support 3. Compliance with industrial safety standards and protocols • Corrective Maintenance • Respond to fault reports in guest rooms, public areas, kitchen, laundry, parking, and offices. • Repair electrical systems: lamps, outlets, switches, distribution panels, minor faults. • Resolve leaks, blockages, pressure failures, and plumbing repairs. • Repair furniture (minor carpentry), doors, locks, hardware, and glazing. B. Preventive Maintenance • Carry out preventive maintenance schedules (PMS) for: • Guest rooms • Air conditioning units • Laundry equipment • Boilers, pumps, and motors • Ventilation systems • Kitchen and refrigeration equipment • Record each activity performed as part of the hotel’s maintenance history. C. Guest Service and Operational Support • Respond immediately to urgent guest requests related to technical failures. • Support Front Desk, Housekeeping, and Security during priority incidents (power outages, leaks, card lockouts, electrical equipment issues). • Maintain a service-oriented attitude, clear communication, and respectful conduct. D. Special Facilities Maintenance • Depending on the hotel, may include: • Inspection of swimming pools, jacuzzis, saunas, or spas. • Maintenance of gardens and irrigation systems. • Elevator inspections (in coordination with authorized vendor). E. Safety and Compliance • Comply with industrial safety standards, tool handling, electricity, gas, and operation of specialized equipment. • Report structural risks or anomalies. • Apply Lockout-Tagout (LOTO) procedures when required. -Requirements- Minimum education: Upper secondary education – Technical High School Diploma 2 years of experience Age: between 25 and 45 years Knowledge: Corrective maintenance, Preventive maintenance, Repairs Keywords: operator, operario, operator, maintenance, conservacion, conservation, mantenimiento
