General Information Position: General Accountant Department: Finance / Accounting Reports to: Finance Director / Finance Manager / CFO Location: Plant (Mexico) People Managed: Yes (accounting team and/or assistants) 2\. Job Objective Ensure proper administration, recording, and control of the company’s accounting and financial information, guaranteeing compliance with local and international tax regulations, as well as timely and accurate delivery of financial reports for corporate decision-making. 3\. Key Responsibilities Accounting and Reporting Supervise accounting entries in accordance with IFRS and local regulations. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Prepare financial reports for corporate headquarters. Monitor bank reconciliations, accounts receivable, and accounts payable. Tax Compliance Ensure compliance with obligations before SAT (Mexican Tax Authority). Coordinate and validate tax filings (Income Tax, VAT, withholdings, etc.). Supervise tax audits and respond to authority requests. Internal Control and Audit Implement and monitor financial internal controls. Coordinate internal and external audits. Ensure compliance with corporate policies and global regulations. Financial Management Support budget and forecast preparation. Analyze variances versus budget. Monitor cash flow and financial needs. Payroll and Labor Obligations Supervise correct payroll accounting and related taxes (IMSS, Infonavit, Income Tax). Coordinate accounting integration of benefits and employee perks. Corporate Liaison Report financial information in English to the global team. Align local accounting practices with corporate guidelines. Participate in implementation projects (ERP, SAP, global controls). 4\. Job Requirements Academic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Public Accounting (mandatory). Desirable: Master’s degree in Finance or Tax Specialization. Experience 5–8 years in general accounting. Experience in automotive or manufacturing industry (preferred). Experience in multinational companies (highly desirable). Technical Knowledge IFRS and Mexican accounting standards. Mexican tax legislation. ERP system proficiency (SAP preferred). Advanced Excel. Financial consolidation and corporate reporting. Languages Advanced English (mandatory). 5\.
