




Job Summary: This position involves receiving, unloading, and transporting raw materials and finished goods, as well as inventory control and forklift operation. Key Responsibilities: 1. Material handling and inventory control (FIFO, cycle counts). 2. Forklift operation and incident reporting. 3. Participation in continuous improvement and compliance with safety standards. : · Receive, unload, and transport raw materials from one location to another upon request from manufacturing. · Assign materials to warehouse locations including point-of-use storage, receiving warehouse, spare parts warehouse, *trailers*, etc. · Implement the First-In-First-Out (FIFO) process. · Perform daily cycle counts and control raw material inventory. · Participate in physical inventories of materials (e.g., steel). · Unload units from the *conveyor* and/or pick up finished goods (*Finished Goods = FG*) units from the production floor. · Enter shipment data into SAP (generate a "*delivery*" and shipment) for finished goods units or submit a *shipping request* for non-serialized materials. · Scan units and finished goods and load them into *trailers* for transportation. · Report product damage, scanning discrepancies, loading errors, or FG issues, etc. · Temporarily cover the Team Leader position (e.g., during vacations or meetings). · And in both positions: · Inspect equipment (checklist) at the start of each shift and report malfunctions to the Maintenance Department. · Inform your direct supervisor of any situation that prevents you from performing your duties. · Follow requirements mandated by C-TPAT & OEA. **Other Roles and Responsibilities:** (occasional or to add value to core functions) · Maintain an organized work area (receiving or shipping areas) (5S). · Under the Continuous Improvement Plan, contribute problem-solving ideas for your area or plant. · Report any unsafe acts or conditions; follow internal policies and safety, health, and environmental procedures. · Avoid or refrain from activities that endanger your safety/integrity, health, and/or the environment. · Communicate safety, health, and environmental concerns to responsible personnel. **Basic Qualifications:** o ***Education:*** § Minimum: Junior High School diploma. o ***Experience:*** § One year of experience in a maquiladora or metal-mechanical industry. § Certification in forklift operation and/or *Clamp*-type forklift operation (for shipping). **Additional Competencies:** · Industrial Safety · Knowledge of forklift operation and heavy object lifting. · FIFO and Color-Coding System · Familiarity with the Shipping Process—Finished Goods—and scanner usage (Shipping Forklift Operator). · Basic knowledge of the C-TPAT & OEA program. · Knowledge of 5S. · Familiarity with SAP system. · Ability to understand and apply safety requirements when operating a forklift.
