Job Summary: Responsible for leading safety, ensuring quality in forging processes, coordinating improvements, and managing quality and environmental systems. Key Highlights: 1. Active participation in internal audits and continuous improvement **RESPONSIBILITIES:** * Safety leadership as a personal priority * Attend environmental, health, and safety training as required * Responsible for conducting the furnace survey assessment, along with maintaining records, in accordance with the Quality Record Control Procedure. * Develop and maintain quality assurance programs, specifications, procedures, and equipment to meet customer specifications and Howmet Aerospace quality requirements. * Responsible for implementing quality system procedures used during wheel forging processes and ensuring such procedures are properly followed. * Coordinate any quality issues and improvements. * Responsible for completing flowcharts, change controls, FMEA, APQP, together with the rest of the forging engineering team. * Responsible for executing PPAPs. * Responsible for maintaining and overseeing SPC, including data entry, reporting, analyzing, and reacting. * Responsible for FPY, Scrap and Rework performance and trend rate and action plan. * Responsible for reviewing and dispositioning any nonconforming or suspect material per the Nonconforming Material Procedure. * Responsible for tracking A3s and open issues. * Participate in internal audits, corrective actions, and problem resolution. * Responsible for compliance with ASAT protocol for assigned tasks. * Directly responsible for coordinating and leading Quality Department interface team meetings within the process area. * Assist, as needed, in completing various Quality Department documentation. * Assist, as needed, with quality matters per Quality Planning Instructions. * Support incoming inspections and quantity, traceability, and release records for purchased material. * Responsible for improvement projects. * Responsible for forging and heat treatment processes and controls, ensuring compliance with industry standards. * Responsible for the metallurgical laboratory, including test equipment, test results, and verification of metal chemical composition. * Responsible for the CastHouse Quality System (Control Plan, FMEA, Flowchart) together with the Casthouse engineering team. * Perform functions and responsibilities defined in ISO 14001 standard P\-0227. * Implement, establish, and maintain environmental, health, and safety policy. * Understand and maintain EHS aspects and Significant EHS Aspects. * Responsibility and authority to reject material in case of poor suspicion regarding product quality. * Authority to escalate any quality-related issues to management. * Assist, as needed, in completing various Quality Department documentation.
