Product Development Engineer Approve or reject a bus or its components for production and commercialization by preparing and conducting functionality and/or durability tests according to corporate procedures and issuing a report validating the decision based on Daimler's product acceptance criteria. We are looking for: Product Development Engineer In this employee position you will be responsible for: * Plan and execute the necessary tests for validation of new projects and issue report. * Maintain certifications and calibrations of testing equipment within validity dates. * Plan and execute the necessary tests for validation of new projects and issue report. * Conceptualize, design, adapt and document vehicle systems and components to meet project requirements. * Plan and supervise a program of visits to bodybuilders to ensure compliance with guidelines and quality of chassis-body assembly. * Carry out the necessary procedures to obtain homologation of Daimler products according to current legislation. * Analyze and resolve issues in series units and in the field to meet project requirements. * Negotiate technical specifications with suppliers for optimal performance of their components and improve system quality on the chassis. * Maintain communication lines across different departments and plants within the Daimler Buses group at the engineering level. * Support in vehicle assembly for production preparation. * Maintain the Integrated Management System to comply with certification programs. E.g.: Calibration dates, expiration, updates, etc. Education: Degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Electrical or Electronics Engineering or related field. Experience: 2 years in the automotive industry, previous experience in engineering area. Specific knowledge: Automotive mechanical/electrical systems, use of measurement and diagnostic equipment, data analysis and handling. Work mode: On-site.
