Optimize accounting processes and coordinate audits **Position Objective** Lead the accounting area, ensuring accurate preparation, analysis, and control of the company's financial information. Guarantee tax compliance, integrity of accounting records, and timely delivery of reliable financial statements for decision-making. **Main Responsibilities** * Coordinate and supervise the full accounting cycle: journal entries, reconciliations, recordkeeping, and monthly/annual closings. * Prepare and review financial statements, variance analyses, and reports for senior management. * Ensure compliance with monthly and annual tax obligations (ISR, IVA, DIOT, withholdings, informational returns). * Implement and strengthen internal accounting and financial controls. * Manage fixed assets, depreciation, and bank reconciliations. * Supervise accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll accounting. * Coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring clear information and orderly documentation. * Optimize accounting processes through automation or ERP improvements. * Maintain alignment and communication with treasury, administration, procurement, human resources, and other key departments. * Ensure compliance with accounting standards (NIF) and internal policies. **Requirements** * Bachelor’s degree in Public Accounting (mandatory). * Minimum of **7 years of accounting experience**, including at least **3 years in supervisory or managerial roles**. * Preferred experience in retail, consumer goods, or multi-branch companies. * Solid knowledge of: * Financial Reporting Standards (NIF). * Monthly and annual tax filings. * Accounting closings and financial statement preparation. * Audit processes. * Advanced Excel proficiency. * ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsip, or similar). **Skills and Competencies** * Leadership and team management. * Planning, organization, and high attention to detail. * Financial analysis and critical thinking. * Decision-making and results orientation. * Effective communication and ability to manage multiple priorities.
