Responsibilities * Promotes a customer-centric culture in order to deepen client relationships and leverage the Bank's broad relationships, systems, and expertise. * Executes and validates actions and activities for the proper administration of trust or agency contracts comprising the portfolio assigned to their responsibility, ensuring the correct application of client-instructed operations, both monetary and non-monetary. Ensuring and verifying that these are conducted in strict adherence and compliance with the provisions set forth in the clauses of Trust and Agency Contracts, the Fiduciary Manual, Regulations and Guidelines of the Fiduciary Operations Department. * Requests the registration of assets of assigned contracts (monetary resources, real estate, shares, credit instruments, rights, among others), verifying that necessary accounts and sub-accounts are established for asset classification (sub-trusts). • Requests and verifies the correct opening and/or closing of special trust checking accounts, securities brokerage agreements, and other investment instruments required for managing resources and investments of fiduciary contracts in accordance with established purposes and contractual terms; validating that they are properly registered in various applications (Scotia en línea, fund disbursement, Scotiafid, and electronic banking platforms of other financial intermediaries). • Requests and validates that maintenance and/or records derived from the administration of trusts and mandates are performed in different applications (ScotiaFid, Scotia en línea, Branch, WorkFlow, EIAP) as applicable * Receives, analyzes, and validates instructions received from clients regarding the purposes of the trust agreements. * Analyzes, validates, and instructs movements and/or adjustments involving increases, decreases to assets, investments, onboarding of third parties, cancellation and setup of fees, taxes, accounting entries, physical inflows and outflows of securities, and other applicable movements and transactions according to the purposes established in trust and agency contracts and client instructions, ensuring responsible departments carry them out. * Reviews, verifies, and requests updates to records of events occurring in contracts whose assets consist of real estate, due to property individualization, mortgages, partial transfers, assignment of rights, among others, ensuring the fiduciary assets of fiduciary contracts are kept up to date in Scotiafid. • Validates at the beginning and end of each day the balances of special trust checking accounts as well as concentrator accounts, in order to promptly identify contributions to trust and agency contracts, managing with clients the allocation to capital and/or investment according to contract instructions or purposes. • Ensures at the beginning and end of each day the reconciliation of pending items in special checking accounts and concentrator accounts, as well as accounting overdrafts for each trust or agency contract. • Validates, manages, and performs BAU collection of fees charged to the fund and credit card for administration services, as well as all matters related to liquidity, billing, and fee parameters in contracts under their assignment. • Verifies and validates bank statements, financial statements regarding the position held by the assets of trust contracts and, if applicable, reports any inconsistencies to the immediate supervisor for timely correction. • Attend technical committee meetings of trust contracts when required, with voice but no vote, preparing and previously verifying the information to be presented at each of these committees (bank statements, financial statements, or others). • Carry out timely and necessary procedures to complete the termination of trusts, validating no outstanding fees are owed and no assets remain registered in the system, requesting the relevant department to cancel checking accounts and brokerage agreements prior to proceeding with deactivation in the Fiduciary System. * Prepares and validates implemented control reports (Instruction Control) within the Fiduciary Operations Department, ensuring accurate recording of monetary and non-monetary instructions and transactions carried out in trust and agency contracts. * Document and update processes under their responsibility for the design or redesign of activities and tasks performed in the operation of the Fiduciary Operations Department. * Understand the Bank's risk culture and how risk appetite should be considered in daily activities and decisions. * Perform effective and efficient operations, ensuring suitability, compliance, and effectiveness of daily business controls in order to meet obligations aimed at reducing operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, money laundering and terrorist financing risk, and conduct risk, including responsibilities established under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, International Anti-Money Laundering Manual Location(s): Mexico : Mexico City : Cuauhtémoc Scotiabank is a leading bank in the Americas.
