**Position: Senior Traffic / Operations Coordinator** **Location:** Ciudad Juárez, Chih. **Company:** Transportes AB **Position Type:** Full-time **Level:** Senior / Operational Key Role **Position Overview** Transportes AB, a growing transportation and logistics company, is seeking a **Senior Traffic / Operations Coordinator** to lead daily local and long-haul trip operations, ensuring operational compliance, vehicle tracking, incident response, and effective communication among drivers, customers, the workshop, and management. This position is **critical** to maintaining operational continuity: it coordinates traffic **and** fleet availability through direct collaboration with the workshop for repairs and PM (Preventive Maintenance). Reports to **Operations Management**, and escalates incidents according to company-defined escalation levels. **Key Responsibilities** **1) Operations and Traffic** * Plan, coordinate, and monitor local and long-haul trips. * Assign vehicles and operators based on real-time availability, route, and priority. * Monitor in-transit trips (status, timing, stops, incidents). * Ensure compliance with routes, schedules, and operational rules. **2) Workshop and Maintenance (PM) Coordination** * Coordinate with the **workshop / maintenance supervisor** the scheduling of: * Preventive maintenance (PM) * Mileage-based services * Pre-trip and post-trip inspections * Corrective repairs * Ensure vehicles are **operationally fit** prior to trip assignment. * Prioritize repairs based on operational impact (critical trips, customers, emergencies). * Track vehicles in the workshop: diagnosis, status, delivery timelines, and release. * Escalate maintenance expenses per approval levels: * **Level 1** to Operations Management * **Level 2 or critical incidents** to Executive Management * Document relevant mechanical incidents and coordinate case closure (evidence, invoice, logbook). **3) Operational Monitoring and Control** * Track operational incidents (delays, mechanical failures, accidents, deviations). * Escalate incidents per established levels. * Prepare and deliver operational reports and basic KPIs (on-time performance, timing, incidents, fleet availability). **4) Customer and Driver Communication** * Maintain direct communication with operators during trips. * Coordinate with customers regarding cargo status, transit, and unloading. * Support real-time resolution of customer operational complaints. **5) Documentation, Evidence, and Closure** * Verify that each trip has complete documentation (Work Orders, evidence, Proof of Delivery). * Coordinate with Administration for correct trip closure and evidence release. * Support implementation and disciplined use of the internal system (ABKM Track). **6) Team and Processes** * Supervise assigned operational staff (monitors, traffic assistants). * Support process standardization and continuous improvement. * Ensure order, tracking, and closure of operational cycles. **Requirements** **Experience** * **3–5+ years** in transportation traffic/operations (dry van preferred). * Experience coordinating operations with maintenance (PM and corrective). * Experience managing operational and mechanical incidents with urgency. **Knowledge** * Vehicle and operator assignment. * Trip monitoring, timing, status, and problem resolution. * Workshop coordination, PM scheduling, fleet availability control. * Operational documentation (Work Orders, POD, evidence). * TMS / GPS monitoring (preferred). **Skills** * Strong organizational and tracking abilities (nothing “slips through the cracks”). * Decision-making under pressure. * Clear communication with operators, workshop, and customers. * Operational leadership and results orientation. * Judgment to prioritize (urgent vs. important) and escalate appropriately. **We Offer** * Competitive salary commensurate with experience. * Career growth within Transportes AB. * A key role with direct impact on operations and organizational structure. * Stability and long-term career prospects.
