Position Summary: Responsible for analytical operations in the quality control laboratory, ensuring result validity, personnel safety, and resource availability to enable timely product access. Key Highlights: 1. Leads analytical operations in the quality control laboratory. 2. Acts as a technical expert, guiding the team and improving processes. 3. Manages personnel and resources for infrastructure and efficiency projects. **General Purpose of the Position** ================================ Responsible for analytical operations in the quality control laboratory, result validity, personnel safety and integrity, and budget management to ensure facilities, equipment, and instruments are available so analyses can be performed on time according to the schedule, thereby guaranteeing patient access to our products. Specific operations reporting to this position span from sampling and analysis of raw materials, packaging and container materials, to finished product and stability samples. Provides information to the next organizational level to support decision-making in situations with direct business impact. Must act as a technical expert, guiding their team and others in areas of expertise, collaborating to improve existing processes and products, and optimizing work by contributing analytical capability to achieve this. Manages personnel and resources for infrastructure and efficiency projects. **Responsibilities** ===================== * Ensure operational efficiency and cost-competitiveness of Quality Control activities to avoid contributing to prohibitively high costs for finished products analyzed at the site. * Meet area metrics across all laboratories under supervision by coordinating timely tracking and closure of related actions (QARs, CAPAs, LIRs, Training). * Develop and maintain a positive work environment, encouraging and inspiring each colleague to work with integrity and safety, looking out for one another so the laboratory can attract and retain top talent. * Ensure compliance with Pfizer policies and standards and maintain operational indicators. * Coordinate and manage technological, material, personnel, and financial resources across various laboratories used for daily site operations. **Profile** ========== ***Education:*** * Bachelor’s degree and professional title in Pharmacy and Biochemistry (QFB), Industrial Chemistry (IQ), Pharmaceutical Chemistry (QBP), Food Chemistry (QFI), or any other science-related field. ***Experience:*** * **Time in role / specialty:** 3 to 5 years * **Total required experience:** 10 years in pharmaceutical quality. * **Positions and/or roles held:** Supervisory or managerial roles in: Quality Assurance, Quality Compliance, Manufacturing Operations. * **List main responsibilities:** Personnel management, finished product analysis, packaging material analysis, good laboratory practices, documentation. ***Languages:*** * Spanish and English * Proficiency level: Advanced * Application: Written and spoken — advanced in executive and operational conversations. ***Other Knowledge:*** * Proficiency in Microsoft Office and specialized software (Veeva, Trackwise, SAP, etc.) * ISO-14001 and ISO-45001 management systems.
