Job Summary: We are seeking a Field Topographer responsible for executing topographic survey work on earthworks and civil construction projects, using GPS equipment and total stations. Key Responsibilities: 1. Execution of topographic surveys in earthworks and civil construction 2. Operation of GPS equipment and total stations for surveys and layout 3. Coordination with site supervisors and adherence to schedules The Field Topographer will be responsible for executing topographic survey work on earthworks and civil construction projects, utilizing GPS equipment and total stations for surveys, layout, and geometric control of construction. They must perform planimetric and altimetric surveys, volume calculations for cut and fill, layout of platforms, roadways, and levels, ensuring accurate interpretation of project drawings and specifications. The position requires prior field experience, basic software proficiency for downloading, processing, and validating topographic data, as well as knowledge of coordinate systems and control networks. The candidate must coordinate with site supervisors, engineers, and heavy equipment operators, ensuring accuracy, organized field data, and adherence to project timelines.
