Data analysis, report automation, and continuous improvement **Job Description** **Reports to:** The hiring of an Industrial Engineering Intern is strategic to strengthen compliance with the **Global Manufacturing System (GMS)** and ensure operational continuity of the area through on-floor technical support, resolution of manufacturing issues, and process digitalization. This position will contribute to data analysis, report automation, organizational communication management, and tracking of training plans—ensuring accurate information dissemination and a consistent focus on continuous improvement and industrial process efficiency. **Key Responsibilities** * Conduct on-floor manufacturing reviews and track evidence for GMS system audits. * Support problem resolution using continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., 5 Whys, Ishikawa), focused on waste elimination and process optimization. * Develop, update, and automate reports and dashboards in Power BI for operational KPI analysis and decision-making. * Manage and maintain communications related to GMS and operational initiatives across multiple channels (Slack, SharePoint, and email), ensuring accurate information dissemination across all organizational levels. * Administer SharePoint sites and digital repositories, ensuring information organization, timeliness, and accessibility across the facility. * Track the training plan and competency traceability of personnel, supporting report generation and controls. * Collaborate with operational and innovation teams on industrial process digitalization and continuous improvement. **Requirements:** * Currently enrolled in an undergraduate academic program (semester or quarter); graduation expected **Summer 2027 or later** * Intermediate level of English proficiency * Valid optional insurance coverage **Field of Study:** Industrial Engineering, Software Development, Business Management, or related discipline. **Desired Experience and Skills:** * Intermediate–Advanced Office suite, Power BI, effective communication, proactive mindset, and continuous improvement orientation. * SharePoint and Power Automate experience preferred "GM does not provide support or sponsorship for legal documentation procedures related to immigration.
