Collaboration in the development of daily menus **Position:** Kitchen Assistant **Department:** General Services / Hospital Kitchen **Workplace:** San Piago Medical Center Toluca **Employment Type:** Full-time **Schedule:** Morning or afternoon shift (rotating as per operational needs) **Salary:** $8,480 monthly net **Job Objective** Assist in the preparation, cleaning, distribution, and service of food to hospital staff, patients, and visitors, ensuring compliance with hygiene, safety, and food safety standards. **Main Responsibilities** * Assist in basic food preparation (cutting, peeling, portioning, mixing). * Maintain cleanliness and order in work areas, utensils, and equipment. * Wash and disinfect fruits, vegetables, and kitchen utensils according to hospital protocols. * Assist in distributing food to various hospital departments or areas. * Monitor appropriate use of supplies to avoid waste. * Comply with personal hygiene, safety, and food safety procedures. * Assist in dishwashing and general area cleaning. * Report any anomalies in equipment or materials to the immediate supervisor. * Collaborate with the chef, dietitian, or department head in developing daily menus. **Requirements** * Education: Completed secondary school (high school diploma or food and beverage course preferred). * Experience: Minimum 6 months in institutional kitchens, industrial cafeterias, or hospital kitchens. * Knowledge: * Good cleaning and disinfection practices. * Proper use and care of kitchen utensils. * Skills: * Teamwork. * Responsibility and punctuality. * Speed and attention to detail. * Service-oriented attitude and respect toward patients and colleagues.
