If you’re detail‑focused, collaborative, and ready to be a key liaison between proposals, internal teams, and clients, this opportunity is for you. **Helping You Thrive By:** * Offering competitive wages and benefits that support your life both in and out of work * Providing a flexible hybrid work schedule, meaning we expect the office to be your primary place of work, balanced with choice and control. * Creating continuous learning opportunities to help you grow and upskill. * Fostering a culture of inclusion where employees feel seen, heard, and valued — and living it out every day. * Empowering you to make a meaningful impact on people and the planet through your work and Steelcase’s ongoing commitment. **You’ll Support Meaningful Work By:** * Developing conceptual and technical design proposals, including pricing, from initial insight through final delivery. * Collaborating closely with commercial teams to understand client needs and align on project direction. * Participating in first meetings with clients and representing the design perspective throughout the project lifecycle. * Creating detailed specifications, including support items, specials, and product selections with strong attention to detail. * Coordinating with PM, installation teams, A\&D partners, and external brands to ensure coherent project execution. * Researching product options and conducting solution exploration to support project development from start to finish. * Engaging in trainings, client visits, mockups, and other onsite activities beyond computer‑based design work. **Minimum Qualifications** * Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Industrial Design, or a related field. * Minimum of 3 years of experience in space planning, including components, furniture, and related applications. * Proficiency in AutoCAD. * Expert in automated tools such as Photoshop, SketchUp, etc. * Experience creating conceptual and technical design proposals based on insights, trends, and mastery of the product portfolio. * Ability to translate research and client insights into design solutions. * Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously with strong organizational and time‑management skills. * Familiarity with technical considerations such as power, data, and technology management. * Experience guiding or directing the work of others, especially Designers. * Strong decision‑making skills and the ability to take initiative in complex or ambiguous situations. * Creativity in developing design concepts aligned with insights and trends. * Strong verbal and written communication skills. * Ability to remain adaptable and effective while working under pressure or managing tight deadlines. **Preferred / Desired Skills** * Knowledge of Revit for design development. * Previous experience providing coaching or guidance to other teams or Designers. **Doing better for people and planet** Steelcase is a global design and thought leader in the world of work.
