




Position Summary: The Operational Excellence Technician supports lean thinking principles and implementation by participating in continuous improvement events and guiding operational staff in the use of lean tools. Specific responsibilities include participation in continuous improvement events, kaizen idea development, and guiding operational staff in lean tools. This role also supports the execution of Baxter’s Operating System for the site. **Key Activities, Responsibilities, and Authorities:** * Perform duties in alignment with the organization’s culture of compliance with regulations and ethical business practices. * Comply with and promote adherence to Baxter policies and the Code of Conduct. * Implement Baxter’s Code of Conduct, policies, and procedures, including but not limited to the Global Interactions Policy and Third-Party Policy. * Use personal protective equipment while inside company facilities and comply with Safety, Health, and Environmental policies and procedures. * Ensure tools used in the process are in good condition and properly calibrated (where applicable). * Participate in events organized by the Continuous Improvement department. * Support the development of operational staff’s improvement ideas through the Kaizen program. * Track the Kaizen program using a digital database. * Prepare and deliver Continuous Improvement onboarding sessions to new hires. * Deliver training on the Eight Wastes. * Generate Continuous Improvement reports. * Maintain LDMS boards (materials always available, updated charts, order, and cleanliness). * Support time studies on production lines for capacity analysis. * Conduct observations of losses and waste on production lines. * Sustain the 6S program in production areas, service areas, and offices. * Support the engineer in implementing BOS/GPS tools within assigned areas. * Perform duties in alignment with the organization’s culture of compliance with regulations and ethical business practices. * Comply with and promote adherence to Baxter policies and the Code of Conduct. * Implement Baxter’s Code of Conduct, policies, and procedures, including but not limited to the Global Interactions Policy and Third-Party Policy. * Use personal protective equipment while inside company facilities and comply with Safety, Health, and Environmental policies and procedures. * Complete training related to the execution of assembly operations to which assigned. * Keep work area clean and orderly, and use tools and devices inherent to the operation correctly. * Comply with the company’s internal regulations. * Identify and execute improvement projects. * The activities listed above cover the main responsibilities of the position but do not exclude other tasks and responsibilities that may occasionally be assigned. * Know and follow job-related activities according to area procedures. * Perform activities in accordance with Good Documentation Practices, Good Manufacturing Practices and/or Good Storage Practices. * Consider performance indicators aligned with area/leader objectives. * Comply with industrial safety and hygiene guidelines. * Complete regulatory training or any other training enabling improved job performance. * Meet leadership expectations assigned according to position. **Equal Employment Opportunity** Baxter is an equal opportunity employer.
