




Job Summary: Student intern to support the development and implementation of AI, data analytics, and automation in chemical management, contributing to digitalization, analysis, and optimization. Collaborate with departments such as Industrial Safety, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Procurement. **Job Description** **Reports To:** * Support the development and implementation of artificial intelligence, data analytics, and automation projects applied to comprehensive chemical management across the facility. * Contribute to the digitalization and control of chemical inventories, ensuring accurate data capture, cleaning, and structuring. * Participate in chemical consumption analysis to identify patterns, optimization opportunities, and risk areas. * Collaborate on initiatives reinforcing regulatory compliance related to handling and administration of chemical substances. * Automate reports, key performance indicators (KPIs), and administrative workflows using tools such as Advanced Excel, Power BI, or other digital solutions. * Develop and document AI use cases to improve safety, reduce operational risks, and optimize costs. * Work cross-functionally with departments such as Industrial Safety, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Procurement to collect, structure, and analyze technical information. * Support the creation of dashboards, visualizations, and analytical models for decision-making. * Participate in continuous improvement initiatives by identifying inefficiencies in chemical-related processes and proposing technology-based solutions. * Conduct testing, validation, and adjustments to automation tools or applications developed within assigned projects. * Document processes, workflows, implemented changes, and project outcomes. * Stay current on trends in generative AI, data analytics, automation, and digital tools applied in industrial environments. **Requirements:** * Currently enrolled in a higher education program (semester or quarter); graduation date **Summer 2027 or later** * Intermediate level of English proficiency * Valid student insurance **Field of Study:** Chemical Engineering, Chemical Processes, Data Science, Mechatronics, Information Technology, or related discipline. **Desired Experience and Skills:** * Advanced Excel, AI Tools, Power BI, Data Analysis, Automation "GM does not provide support or sponsorship for legal immigration-related documentation.
