




**Chef** **Job Objective:** Prepare food for the various dining services for cafeteria patrons as well as for hospitalized patients, following the daily instructions provided by the head chef. **Main Responsibilities:** * Preparation and plating of dishes according to established standards. * Verification of ingredient freshness and proper handling. * Execution of pre-preparation processes such as washing, disinfecting, peeling, and cutting raw materials and supplies to be used during the shift. * Portion control, waste management, and proper use of supplies. * Compliance with hygiene, food safety, and good kitchen practices. * Effective communication with cafeteria service staff (e.g., questions regarding dish preparation, customer specifications, etc). **Requirements:** * Knowledge of cooking techniques, food preparation, and plating. * Hygienic handling of food. * Minimum 1 year of verifiable kitchen experience (restaurants, hotels, or food service).
