Summary: The SMT Process Technician is responsible for improving line implementations, performing repeatability studies, integrating test systems, and developing operations personnel. Highlights: 1. Responsible for SMT equipment installation and maintenance. 2. Program SMT pick and place and AOI equipment. 3. Partner with SMT engineer to reduce SMT related defects. The SMT Process Technician it is responsible to tester improve line implementations, performing repeatability studies, liaison between R\&D and factory, integration of test systems for the new product, software and hardware debugging, test time reductions and competence development of Operations personnel. **Responsibilities** * SMT equipment installation. * Preventive and corrective maintenance such as: paste printers, pick and place, reflow ovens and conveyor systems. * Program SMT pick and place equipment by using machine GUIs or software to perform BOM/CAD merge. (Prefer Aegis). * Work in SMT program libraries to add or create new part and package types. * Program AOI equipment for NPI builds and to update current programs as needed. * Implementation and modification of AWI\-PWI work instructions, visual aids, etc. * Knowledge of IPC 610 criteria for SMT Equipment installation. * Partner up with SMT engineer to reduce customer exposure due SMT related defects. * Work with production to develop rework strategies and procedures (SMT/TH component removal and replacement). * Utilize X\-Ray and AOI equipment to perform analysis on process validation, defects, and returns. * Contribute to the workplace safety and health improvement for the employees, as well as environmental protection, by adhering to the company’s Environmental, Health and Safety policies **Requirements:** * Technical degree in electronic any engineering field * Knowledge of IPC 610 and J\-STD. * \+2 years of experience working with SMT maintenance.
