Autonomous maintenance and productivity optimization Job Objective To operate the **Heidelberg Speedmaster 2-color** press efficiently, safely, and cost-effectively, ensuring printed jobs meet the company’s established standards for quality, colorimetry, and delivery timelines—while optimizing consumables, minimizing waste, and safeguarding the equipment as a strategic asset. Main Responsibilities A. Operation and Production * Prepare and adjust the Heidelberg Speedmaster press for each job order: * Plate mounting * Registration adjustment * Color calibration * Water–ink balance * Execute print runs according to production order specifications: * Paper type * Pantones / CMYK * Varnishes * Quality tolerances * Meet standard time requirements for: * Make-ready * Startup * Continuous production * Monitor during printing: * Densities * Dot gain * Trapping * Drying * Streaks, reprints, specks B. Quality * Approve startup sheets jointly with the Quality Department or Production Supervisor * Document process control sheet * Detect and correct color deviations * Comply with ICC profiles and company color guides * Ensure consistency throughout the entire run C. Maintenance * Perform daily autonomous maintenance: * Blanket cleaning * Roller washing * Pressure checks * Basic lubrication * Report mechanical or electronic failures * Participate in scheduled preventive maintenance D. Productivity and Costs * Reduce startup waste * Optimize consumption of: * Ink * Paper * Solutions * Record actual times per job order * Propose process improvements E. Safety and Hygiene * Comply with industrial safety regulations * Correct use of PPE * Responsible handling of chemicals * Area organization and cleanliness (5S) F. Teamwork * Coordinate with: * Prepress * Finishing * Warehouse * Quality * Train the press assistant * Hand over shift with clear information 4.
