Job Summary: An Accountant is required to ensure the integrity, accuracy, and regulatory compliance of financial information, coordinating internal operations and external services. Ensures timely financial closing and tax compliance A Mexican company with over 20 years of experience specializing in ecological hygiene solutions seeks a General Accountant. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, certified with professional license. - Courses: Ongoing tax updates - Financial Reporting Standards (NIFs) - CFDI 4.0 and electronic invoicing - Electronic accounting - ERP systems: SAP Business One preferred; Odoo also acceptable ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE: * Current Financial Reporting Standards (NIFs) * Mexican tax legislation (Income Tax, VAT, Federal Tax Code, IMSS, Infonavit) * General and cost accounting * External audit process * CFDI 4.0 and electronic accounting * Payroll calculation and employer obligations EXPERIENCE: * 5 years in accounting positions * Minimum 3 years performing monthly financial closings * Experience coordinating with external accounting firms * Experience validating payroll * Experience preparing tax returns Commercial, retail, and distribution sectors (preferred) RESPONSIBILITIES AND OBJECTIVE Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and regulatory compliance of the organization’s financial information by acting as a strategic liaison between internal operations (Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Treasury) and external services (accounting firm, payroll provider), ensuring timely financial closing, supervision of recordkeeping, and tax compliance.
