Drive digitalization, new technologies, and AI At Harbenit, we are seeking our **Civil Engineering Area Manager**, responsible for managing and overseeing multiple civil engineering projects simultaneously, ensuring execution in accordance with scope, schedule, cost, quality, safety, and regulatory requirements; optimizing resources; developing on-site teams; and providing strategic and reliable information to senior management for decision-making. **Responsibilities**: **Strategic Management** * Define and adjust the execution strategy for the portfolio of construction projects. * Analyze and manage operational, financial, legal, and contractual risks. * Validate budgets, construction schedules, and profitability margins. * Ensure contractual, regulatory, and quality-standard compliance. * Report results, risks, and forecasts to senior management. **Operational Management** * Supervise and coordinate assistant managers, superintendents, and site teams. * Ensure proper execution in accordance with drawings, codes, and specifications. * Monitor physical progress, productivity, costs, and variances. * Guarantee compliance with safety and hygiene standards across all projects. **Personnel Management** * Evaluate team performance using institutional tools. * Develop talent and career growth plans. * Authorize hiring, termination, and key personnel assignments. * Promote leadership, training, and emotional intelligence on site. **Suppliers and Contracts** * Negotiate and validate contracts, subcontracts, and strategic suppliers. * Evaluate technical and economic options for critical decisions. * Supervise supplier compliance, performance, and payments. **Administration and Finance** * Authorize strategic procurement and significant expenditures. * Control payroll per project, petty cash, and payments. * Coordinate with other departments. **Innovation and Continuous Improvement** * Drive digitalization, new technologies, and AI applications in construction. * Lead continuous improvement initiatives. * Establish operational standards and best practices. . **Requirements**: * Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field. * Minimum **8 years of experience in civil engineering projects**. * At least **3 years in managerial positions**. * Proven experience in **multi-project and project portfolio management**. * Willingness to travel to multiple project sites within and outside the state of Puebla. * Project direction and control. * Budgeting, financial control, and cost management. * Contracts, regulations, and risk management. * On-site team development and leadership. * Advanced Excel. * OPUS. * ERP / administrative systems. * MS Project or similar. * Digital tools and AI.
