




Job Summary: Conduct damage appraisals for accident-damaged vehicles, accurately determining the scope of repair, costs, timelines, and materials, ensuring workshop profitability and compliance with insurance company agreements. Key Responsibilities: 1. Inspect vehicles to identify visible and hidden damage. 2. Prepare estimates on insurance company platforms and negotiate adjustments. 3. Coordinate to ensure proper execution of repairs. **Job Objective.** Conduct damage appraisals for accident-damaged vehicles, precisely, objectively, and in accordance with insurance company guidelines, determining the scope of repair, costs, timelines, and materials, ensuring workshop profitability and compliance with insurance company agreements. **Appraisal and Diagnostic Functions and Responsibilities.** * Inspect vehicles to identify visible and hidden damage. * Prepare estimates for bodywork, painting, mechanical repairs, and parts. * Determine repair procedures according to technical standards. * Define repair times (labor) and costs for parts and materials. **Relationship with Insurance Companies.** * Prepare estimates on insurance company platforms. * Address clarifications, supplements, and negotiations with insurance companies. * Track authorizations, supplements, and releases. **Internal Customer and Insurance Support.** * Clearly and professionally explain the diagnosis and estimate. * Resolve questions regarding costs, timelines, and repair scope. * Track approvals and requested changes. **Operational Control.** * Coordinate with the shop supervisor and production team to ensure proper execution of repairs. * Perform appraisal supplements when additional/hidden damage is detected. * Verify that repairs match the appraisal. **Administrative and Control Tasks.** * Maintain complete files for each vehicle (photos, appraisals, supplements, authorizations, etc.). * Comply with internal processes and company policies. * Report incidents and deviations (costs or timelines). **Authority.** * Determine the scope of repair. * Request appraisal supplements. * Negotiate appraisal adjustments within authorized margins. **Job Profile Education.** * Technical degree or incomplete bachelor’s degree (Automotive Mechanics, Automotive Engineering, or related field). **Experience.** * Minimum **2 years** as an appraiser for accident-damaged vehicles (body and paint shops). * Demonstrable experience working with insurance companies. * Preferred experience serving individual customers.
