




Summary: BBS Automation is seeking a Mechanical Construction Technician to design, install, and maintain custom machinery, as well as troubleshoot customer-specific automation systems, with willingness to travel. Since 2023, BBS has been part of the Dürr Group. Your Responsibilities Design custom machinery according to mechanical drawings. Install and integrate hydraulic and pneumatic components according to hydraulic and pneumatic drawings. Ensure all adjustments are properly carried out in accordance with functionality and mechanical prints (e.g., sensors, cylinder strokes, belt tension, pressure settings, flow control, etc.). Perform minor mechanical modifications to parts to ensure proper fit, using drilling machines, milling machines, lathes, etc. Ability to use measuring tools (e.g., Ability to use measuring tools (e.g., calipers, depth gauges, micrometers, dial indicators, spirit levels, etc.) and understanding of measurements with an accuracy of 0.02 mm (1/1000 inch). Troubleshoot and resolve issues on customer-specific automation systems. Correct/update (redline) technical documentation such as mechanical prints and bills of materials. Travel to customer sites for installation and repair of customer-specific automation systems. Occasional overtime required. 50% domestic and international travel required. Your Profile Minimum 3 years’ experience in the custom automation industry. Vocational school diploma as a mechanic or equivalent. Certified toolmaker/machinist or equivalent qualification. Strong mechanical aptitude. Experience building customer-specific automation systems for assembly and testing applications. Experience with equipment in the medical industry is a plus.
