




### **Description** The responsibilities of the Building Maintenance Supervisor include coordinating preventive maintenance for all building facilities and equipment, as well as the installation of machinery, equipment, furniture, and other related tasks. Coordinates maintenance of building systems (hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, etc.) required to keep them operational, as well as the building’s structural integrity. The above is intended to provide a safe, efficient, and comfortable work environment. These activities are subject to the annual budget allocated to the department. ### **Essential Duties and Responsibilities** * Comply with safety instructions contained in the Internal Work Regulations applicable to employees, equipment care, materials, facilities, and other company-owned resources. * Perform work according to approved, updated methods, instructions, and specifications applicable to the Maintenance Department. * Participate in projects where assigned. * Coordinate actions aimed at optimizing and improving energy efficiency in buildings under supervision, always seeking cost savings. * Monitor attendance of personnel under supervision, as well as material resources used to carry out assigned tasks. * Responsible for processing contracts and cancellations with public utility providers—such as electricity, water, gas, etc.—for buildings under supervision that are commencing or ceasing operations. * Establishes and coordinates daily preventive building maintenance routines for personnel under supervision, prioritizing and tracking repairs of defects identified during routine inspections. * Responsible for requesting purchases of materials, tools, and/or equipment necessary to perform the aforementioned tasks. * Identifies and schedules preventive and corrective maintenance for buildings, ensuring company buildings remain in optimal condition. * Responsible for maintaining operational fire safety equipment, both portable and fixed. * Conducts pressure and functionality tests on the fire suppression hydropneumatic system. * Responsible for receiving and following up on general building maintenance requests under supervision, planning priorities. * Addresses support needs related to maintenance or design of work furniture, installation of productive or non-productive equipment, etc., meeting agreed-upon deadlines with the requester. * Responsible for safeguarding and controlling equipment and tools assigned to the building and Building Maintenance technicians. * Collects required information and submits activity reports as requested by supervisors. * Works closely with the Plant Manager to propose improvement, cost-saving, and resource management projects. * Coordinates closely with the Building Maintenance Department of other plant(s) on site to align and implement improvement projects. * Works on continuous improvement of the training level of the team. * Ensures compliance with quality standards and applicable health, safety, and legal regulations for the department. * Meets goals established by Management. * Keeps the Preventive Maintenance Program current. * Maintains the CMMS program updated and ensures appropriate usage. * Maintains order and cleanliness among personnel under supervision. * Maintains discipline and respect among personnel under supervision. * Actively participates in “Socially Responsible Company” initiatives. * Takes responsibility for and follows up on company-scheduled training. * Performs other duties of various nature inherently related to the position held. ### **Education, Skills and/or Experience Desired** * Completed professional degree in Engineering. * 3–5 years of experience in a similar position. * Desired experience with PLCs, electronics, and pneumatics. * Desired experience in inventory control of materials, tools, and equipment. * Basic knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, industrial refrigeration, and electronic systems. * Knowledge of Layout design. * Proficiency in MS\-Office. * Experience managing technical staff. **Specific Language Requirements:** Intermediate English. ### **About Align Technology** **Your growth and well\-being:** At Align, every smile matters.
