The duties include management of the sourcing process, developing and implementing creative solutions to complex challenges, capacity and cost management, and PO/ contract administration. This includes but is not limited to: Selecting suppliers, placing purchase orders, managing complex contracts, interfacing with internal and external customers, managing key Tier 1 and Tier 2 supplier relationships, and developing commodity strategies. The ideal candidate must have: The ability to coordinate activities with other departments and resolve conflicts; must lead a cross functional team with “One Voice” to suppliers; and develop and manage key supplier relationships while maximizing suppliers’ ability to deliver quality product on time. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for developing and/or assisting in the development of strategies and solutions to continuously improve costs and capacity.
