Job Summary: Forklift operator responsible for the safe and efficient handling of cargo, equipment maintenance, and warehouse organization. Key Responsibilities: 1. Operate forklifts and electric equipment safely 2. Load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse 3. Maintain a safe and organized warehouse environment Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, or electric pallet trucks according to safety parameters and as instructed. Understand and follow established procedures for proper cargo handling. · Load and unload assigned vehicles at dock doors. · Locate and move materials for storage and shipment. · Identify deviations in pallet assembly. · Help maintain a safe and orderly warehouse environment. · Conduct periodic inspections of forklifts to identify maintenance needs. · Immediately inform direct supervisor of any anomalies or defects observed in equipment. · Identify battery charging, resting, and discharging periods to efficiently preserve equipment battery life. · Relocate products according to system guidelines or instructions from the Warehouse Manager. · Know proper handling procedures for goods. · Operate equipment at appropriate speed parameters, always respecting high-traffic areas or caution signage.
