




· Select the tools and materials required for the job. · Record daily work orders in the ERP system, documents and/or forms. · Know and identify at least 60% of the materials. · Establish machine controls by grouping planned machining operations into a set of instructions (e.g., setup sheets). · Generate quality and production reports for operational control, as well as record work order start-up and completion in the system. · Interpret engineering drawings, at least 60% of mechanical parts, according to customer and design specifications. · Know and use measuring tools (caliper, height gauge, and micrometer). · Know and use at least 70% of cutting tools. · Know at least 60% of "G and M" codes. · Operate CNC machines to carry out manufacturing. · Monitor machines during operation—for example, by listening and observing—to detect problems or irregularities. · Deburr manufactured parts when process time permits. · Consult with the Production Manager or Programmer to resolve machine malfunctions and production issues. · Adjust machines in case of malfunction, problems, or irregularities. · Mount and align presses and fixtures on machines, as well as tooling. · Mount, install, align, and secure tools, fixtures, workholding devices, and workpieces on machines—for example, using hand tools and precision measuring instruments. · Maintain machines and remove and replace worn or broken machine parts using hand tools. · Use required manufacturing materials efficiently, seeking their optimization.
