As an Area Sales Manager \- Mexico**,** you’ll be at the forefront of driving Potter’s growth and strengthening our presence across Mexico. In this dynamic, customer‑focused role, you’ll build meaningful relationships with existing partners while actively identifying new opportunities to expand our reach. You’ll introduce customers to Potter’s industry‑leading products, support territory plans that hit key performance goals, and collaborate closely with marketing, customer service, and engineering teams to deliver a seamless, high‑quality experience. From conducting product demonstrations to representing Potter at trade shows and industry events, you’ll become a trusted resource in the field. With regular travel throughout the territory and hands‑on engagement with customers, this role offers the chance to make a measurable impact while growing your professional network and advancing Potter’s mission in the market. **What You’ll Do** ------------------ * Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers while proactively identifying opportunities to expand business within the territory. * Prospect, qualify, and assist in onboarding new customers to Potter’s products and services, ensuring a smooth and positive introduction to our solutions. * Support the execution of territory plans to achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) and meet or exceed sales goals. * Provide accurate product information and coordinate with internal teams to ensure customers receive exceptional support throughout their experience. * Assist with sales presentations and basic product demonstrations for customers, contractors, and other key stakeholders. * Represent Potter at industry trade shows and association meetings to strengthen brand presence and expand your professional network. * Collaborate closely with marketing, customer service, and engineering teams to deliver a seamless and customer‑focused experience. * Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, opportunities, and activities using Salesforce and other sales tools. * Travel throughout the territory to visit customers and attend events, with up to 50% travel required. * Perform other duties as assigned to support overall sales and organizational objectives. **What You Bring****Experience That Drives Success** * 5–10 years of experience in sales, customer service, or related fields, ideally within the fire protection, life safety, or industrial industries. * Exceptional interpersonal skills with a strong passion for building meaningful, long‑term customer relationships. * Solid understanding of sales processes and customer service principles to effectively support territory growth and customer engagement. * Comfortable working with technology, including Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems; Salesforce experience is a plus. * Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% within Mexico to meet with customers, attend events, and support territory needs. **Key Strengths \& Skills** * Fluent in English, with the ability to communicate confidently across diverse audiences. * Demonstrated ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality in all interactions. * Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills to effectively engage customers and internal teams. * Exceptional time‑management skills with a proven track record of meeting deadlines in a fast‑paced environment. * Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to assess situations and recommend effective solutions. * Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate when appropriate, ensuring efficient and organized workflow. * Strong business acumen with the ability to understand customer needs and market dynamics. * Highly developed listening skills, with the ability to quickly identify and respond to customer needs. * Ability to work remotely, both on the road and from a home office, while staying connected and productive. **Our Culture*** We build strong relationships—with teammates, partners, and customers * We take pride in knowing every product we build serves the purpose of protecting lives * We listen actively, coach frequently, and own our results * We foster innovation, value curiosity, and believe that experimentation is part of growth * We create a welcoming and inclusive space where everyone belongs * We take ownership of our work—quality and safety are at the core of what we do **Location** ------------ This is a full‑time role that offers a blend of field engagement and remote work, with travel required up to 50% of the time.
