Ability to identify and resolve signal faults An expanding telecommunications company invites you to join the team as a **Video Compression Engineer**. **Requirements:** Degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, or related field. Graduates only. Minimum 3 years of experience in similar positions (Monitoring Engineer, Transmission Engineer, Broadcasting Engineer, Video Engineer, Satellite Reception Engineer). Experience in audio and video standards, video transcoding, radiofrequency, video transport stream analysis, video contribution and distribution. **Technical Skills:** · Analytical ability to identify faults in signal reception and/or transmission. · Technical knowledge in electronics, communications, transcoding, encryption, and video multiplexing. · Technical knowledge of video and audio standards (MPEG, HEVC, AAC) and satellite systems (DVB-S) is advantageous. **Objective:** Ensure correct transcoding, encryption, and multiplexing of audio and video content for DTH and OTT systems. Maintain technical infrastructure in optimal condition for proper operation, complying with defined operational standards to achieve required service quality. Responsible for correct processing of audio and video streams according to system requirements. Also responsible for managing services provided by content providers and network equipment vendors. **Responsibilities:** · Ensure proper transcoding and multiplexing of audio and video originating from various content providers via satellite receivers, network links, or internet. · Operate and maintain audio and video transcoding, encryption, and multiplexing equipment in optimal condition, including encoders, servers, and video multiplexers, to guarantee transmission of audio and video streams to DTH and OTT systems. · Resolve audio and video signal transcoding, encryption, and multiplexing faults, coordinating tests with Broadcast Engineers and Transmission Engineers. · Perform preventive maintenance on various video transcoding, encryption, and multiplexing equipment. · Coordinate activities jointly with different content providers and the marketing department to keep lineup information up to date. · Properly document the history of parameter changes for audio and video stream transcoding, encryption, and multiplexing.
