Route planning and optimization: 2\. Update and manage efficient distribution routes that minimize delivery times and operational costs. 3\. Implement planning tools and systems to ensure routes are efficient in terms of fuel consumption, resource utilization, and reduction of idle time. 4\. Evaluate the cost-benefit ratio of each route and adjust them according to cargo volume and delivery priorities. 5\. Route cost analysis: 6\. Route cost calculation: Analyze costs associated with each route, such as fuel consumption, vehicle wear, tolls, driver labor hours, maintenance, and other operational expenses. 7\. Conduct a comparative cost-per-kilometer analysis to identify the most profitable routes and those requiring adjustments. 8\. Prepare periodic reports detailing the cost breakdown for each route and its main components, including improvement recommendations. 9\. Fleet management: 10\. Monitor fleet status and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance tasks to minimize vehicle downtime. 11\. Control efficient use of fuel and other operational resources through telemetry or GPS data analysis. 12\. Implement cost-reduction strategies related to fleet usage, such as predictive maintenance or vehicle lifespan optimization. 13\. Personnel supervision: 14\. Lead the team of drivers and logistics operators to ensure adherence to delivery timelines and safety regulations. 15\. Conduct staff performance evaluations and promote continuous training in cost management and logistics efficiency. 16\. Client billing for logistics services: 17\. Manage and validate billing for each client based on logistics services provided (cargo volume, distance traveled, delivery times, and route-specific costs). 18\. Implement a transparent billing system based on the actual costs of each route, ensuring clients pay a fair price for the service. 19\. Collaborate with the finance team to ensure billing is accurate, timely, and reflects agreed-upon client terms. 20\. Customer profitability analysis: 21\. Conduct periodic analyses to assess the profitability of each customer based on served routes and incurred costs. 22\. Develop strategies to optimize service for the most profitable customers and renegotiate or adjust contracts with those generating insufficient value. 23\. Generate financial and operational reports showing the relationship between logistics costs and each customer’s profitability. 24\. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), such as cost per kilometer, delivery time, and operational costs. 26\. Implement continuous improvements in logistics processes to reduce costs and enhance transportation efficiency.
