Operating primarily as a **manual tester (blackbox)**, this role validates new features, fixes, and configurations before release to production. QA Analysts I ensure that software behaves as expected under real\-world conditions, identifying bugs, inconsistencies, and usability issues early in the development cycle. They work closely with developers, analysts, and product administrators to **execute** **structured test plans****, document results, and support** **defect lifecycle management****, contributing directly to the organization’s goal of reliable, stable, and high\-quality system delivery.** **Testing \& Validation** * Execute manual blackbox test cases across multiple enterprise applications (e.g., Atlas, AgencyTrak, EasyInk, ATM, and supporting tools). * Validate new functionality, enhancements, and bug fixes in pre\-production and UAT environments. * Document and reproduce defects with clarity and precision for engineering and integration teams. * Verify resolution of fixed issues during regression or post\-deployment validation. * Ensure functional accuracy of workflows, user interfaces, and data flow dependencies. **Release \& Transition Support** * Support the QA \& Release Supervisor during environment readiness checks and maintenance windows. * Validate deployment packages, configuration changes, and rollback plans. * Participate in **release certification testing** to confirm stability and alignment with acceptance criteria. * Assist with validation of new applications or integrations during Transition \& Implementation phases. **Defect \& Incident Coordination** * Record and classify defects in the centralized defect tracking system (e.g., Jira). * Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and support teams to clarify requirements and expected behavior. * Support **post\-incident testing** and verification following outage recovery events. * Maintain traceability between defects, test cases, and business requirements. **Collaboration \& Documentation** * Collaborate with Business Analysts, Product Integrators, and Application Administrators during testing phases. * Maintain accurate testing documentation, including results, screenshots, and environment notes. * Ensure all test artifacts and validations are stored in the **KB Vault** for audit and traceability. * Participate in test case reviews and contribute feedback to improve QA processes. **Continuous Improvement** * Suggest improvements to testing processes, documentation practices, and validation templates. * Participate in cross\-functional learning to gain exposure to automation, data validation, and system integrations. * Support the QA \& Release team in expanding test coverage and regression libraries. ### **Requirements** **Specialized knowledge:** * Understanding of **software testing principles**, **SDLC**, and **defect management** processes. * Familiarity with **test plan design**, **test case execution**, and **requirements traceability**. * Knowledge of **Agile delivery cycles** and collaboration with developers, analysts, and product teams. * Ability to identify, document, and reproduce issues in complex, multi\-application environments. * Awareness of **release management processes** and environment readiness activities **Computer knowledge:** * Proficiency with **Atlassian Jira** or equivalent tools for defect tracking and test management. * Experience using **Microsoft 365 Suite** (Excel, Teams, SharePoint) for documentation and collaboration. * Familiarity with browser developer tools for front\-end validation. * Exposure to **database querying** (SQL basics) for data verification. * Basic understanding of API or integration testing concepts is desirable. * Familiar with **Athena Vault** or similar repositories for documentation and audit traceability. **Experience:*** **1–2 years** of experience in software testing, quality assurance, or technical support roles. * Demonstrated ability to follow structured test plans and report defects accurately. * Prior experience validating applications in a multi\-system or enterprise environment preferred. * Educational background in **Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field**, or equivalent practical experience. ### **Benefits** * Paid days off * Competitive weekly salary * Great location (Zona Río, Tijuana) * Benefits by law and more * Private Health Insurance and Preventative Care * Friendly work environment * Savings Fund and voluntary Savings Account * Financing and discounts at various establishments around the city * Career growth opportunities * Constant motivational events and more!
