




Job Summary: This role involves managing a global team of buyers, driving process improvements, and ensuring inventory availability through strategic supplier engagement and negotiations. Job Description and Responsibilities * Manage a global team of 7\-9 Buyers to ensure Purchase Orders are created and maintained to meet business requirements. * Manage key metrics, identify and launch process improvements. * Engage with planning and related functions to ensure PFG inventory is available according to customer demand. * Develop and manage standard procedures and terminology for supplier set up and maintenance. * Coordinate cross\-business activities, benchmarking, periodic meetings and training. * Deliver yearly cost reduction and performance targets. * Drive world\-class quality and delivery performance by suppliers globally. * Negotiate cost reduction, inventory stocking agreements, terms, etc., with suppliers. * Provide direction on tools, methods and rules to team. * Maintain and develop relationships with current, new and potential suppliers. * Create/maintain supplier agreements. * Special projects as assigned. Experience and Requirements * Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is required. * Minimum 5 yrs. experience in Mgmt. * Experience in leading Strategic Sourcing, Commodity functions. * Project Management Training. * APICS certification preferred. * SIX Sigma preferred. * Proven ability to meet deadlines in a fast\-paced environment. * Strong negotiating, project management, problem solving and decision\-making skills are essential. * Experience or demonstrated ability to manage a global team. * Experience in managing a global supplier base. * Ability to manage complex materials/suppliers and internal teams. * Knowledge or prior experience as it relates to data/information exchange throughout supply chain network. * Excellent oral and written communication skills including executive level presentations. * Attention to detail. * Oracle ERP System experience preferred.
