Collaborate with the injection department to validate mold performance. **Olan Mexico is a leading supplier to the cosmetic and pharmaceutical industries.** **For over 50 years, we have designed and manufactured atomizers, sprays, valves, dispensers, and complete packaging solutions.** **WE ARE SEEKING:** **Position Title:** Injection Mold Mechanic and Toolmaker **Department:** Mold Maintenance / Tooling Workshop **Reports To:** Workshop Manager / Mold Supervisor **Level:** Specialized Technician **Job Objective** Perform preventive, corrective, and fine-tuning maintenance on plastic injection molds, ensuring their functionality, precision, and availability for production processes, in accordance with quality and safety standards. **Main Responsibilities** * Diagnose mechanical mold failures: wear, fractures, leaks, improper closure, etc. * Polish, adjust, and repair components such as cavities, cores, bushings, ejectors, and mold bases. * Use measuring instruments: calipers, micrometers, dial indicators. * Operate machine tools: lathe, milling machine, grinder. * Read and interpret technical drawings and dimensional tolerances. * Record interventions and generate technical reports. * Collaborate with the injection department to validate mold performance. * Apply safety, organization, and cleanliness standards (5S). **Required Knowledge** * Tooling and plastic injection molds * Mechanical fits and tolerances * Conventional and CNC machining processes * Basic hydraulics and pneumatics (preferred) * Industrial safety practices for handling tools and equipment **Academic Qualifications** * Technical degree in Machine Tools, Industrial Maintenance, Precision Mechanics, or related field. * Courses or certifications in injection molds (preferred) **Required Experience** * Minimum 2 years of experience in injection mold maintenance or similar tooling. * Experience in the plastic or automotive industry (preferred) Employment Type: Full-time Salary: $12,000.00 - $13,500.00 per month Work Location: On-site employment
