Summary: This role involves comprehensive management of international trade and logistics, coordinating global shipments, ensuring compliance, and optimizing supply chain processes. Highlights: 1. Identify process improvements and drive supply chain optimization **Responsibilities and Measurement Criteria with Time investment Needed on Each: \-** * **Backlog Ownership and Order Management:** Manage an assigned portfolio of purchase orders from creation through production confirmation, ensuring accurate visibility of manufacturing timelines and alignment with regional demand requirements. * **Production Follow\-up and Factory Coordination:** Maintain daily communication with global Vertiv factories and contract manufacturers to monitor production status, validate committed dates, and ensure timely acknowledgment of all open orders. * **Manage International Shipments:** Coordinate all import and export activities, including ocean, air, and ground shipments, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with Vertiv’s global policies and regional trade regulations. * **Trade Compliance and Documentation:** Prepare, review, and validate all shipping documentation (BLs, AWBs, invoices, packing lists, certificates, customs filings) to ensure adherence to local and international trade laws. * **Freight Forwarder and Supplier Coordination:** Serve as the primary point of contact for global suppliers and freight forwarders, including booking shipments, confirming schedules, and resolving operational issues or delays. * **Cost Control and Reporting:** Monitor freight costs, customs duties, and taxes; ensure accurate invoicing and provide analytical reporting to support supply chain optimization and budget adherence. * **Escalation Management:** Act as a key escalation point for trade\-related issues within the region, collaborating with internal stakeholders (procurement, operations, logistics) to resolve exceptions, mitigate risks, and maintain operational continuity. * **Process Improvement:** Identify opportunities to enhance trade and logistics processes, implement best practices, and contribute to the development of standardized procedures and SOPs. * **Cross\-functional Collaboration:** Partner with regional business units, procurement, warehouse teams, and commercial operations to ensure alignment of international trade activities with overall business objectives. * **Shipment Tracking and System Updates:** Maintain accurate and up\-to\-date shipment information in the Vertiv Web platform, including estimated and actual departure dates, arrival dates, customs clearance, HS codes, and other relevant shipment details or comments. Ensure full visibility for all internal departments and stakeholders, including business units and support teams, guaranteeing timely, accurate, and precise updates to enable effective planning and decision\-making. * **KPI Reporting and Performance Monitoring:** Responsible for preparing and presenting monthly KPIs related to supplier performance, freight operations, and trade execution. Ensure metrics are accurate, actionable, and communicated to relevant internal stakeholders to support operational decision\-making and continuous improvement. **Qualifications: \-** **Required/ Minimum Qualifications: \-** * Bachelor’s degree in international business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. * Advanced knowledge of trade compliance regulations, Incoterms, HS codes, and customs procedures across Latin America. **Additional / Preferred Qualifications: \-** * 5\+ years of experience in international trade, import/export operations, or global logistics, including execution of door\-to\-door processes and multimodal transport. * Proven knowledge and correct application of Incoterms, understanding risks and responsibilities for each case. * Hands\-on experience coordinating shipments via ocean, air, and ground freight. * Familiarity with customs compliance, international trade regulations, and documentation (BL, AWB, invoices, packing lists, certificates). * Experience with cost control, including monitoring freight costs, customs duties, taxes, and validating invoices and shipment\-related documents. * Experience working with freight forwarders, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to manage trade operations.
