We are seeking an In-House Customs Broker In Tlajomulco de Zúñiga, Jalisco. Requirements: Education: Bachelor’s degree in International Trade, Customs, International Studies, or Global Commercial Logistics Engineering. Experience: Minimum 1 year. Gender: Indifferent. Knowledge of customs law, regulations, and other legal provisions related to international trade. ACTIVITIES: - Receive from the importer the documentation to be used for customs clearance, including the customs clearance instruction letter (digital signature). - Review documentation and identify possible errors or discrepancies in the commercial invoice, packing list and/or bill of lading, etc. - Forward the arrival notification, if provided by the importer, to the customs agency staff. - Provide the customs agency executives with any missing or corrected documentation required for customs clearance. - Maintain contact with the customs agency executives to provide the client with status updates on operations. - Request the operations report from the customs agency staff to inform the importer of progress or status. - Notify the client of any anomalies arising in their operation that prevent or delay clearance of their goods. - Track container return and subsequent empty container delivery. - Review the customs entry form for tax payment and request client authorization. - Monitor payment of the customs entry form. - Track the operation with carriers, shipping lines, and custody agents. - Notify the client upon receipt of material at the plant. - Collect the importer’s signature on the customs value declaration and submit the original and/or digitized copy to the customs agency staff for filing.
