Objective Summary** Ensure financial integrity and tax compliance for a portfolio of diverse economic entities. The incumbent will be responsible for overseeing the full accounting cycle—from basic journal entries to financial statement consolidation—ensuring each company fulfills its obligations independently and timely. **2. Key Responsibilities** To manage multiple legal entities, responsibilities are divided into: * **Accounting and Financial Management:** * Supervise and prepare monthly and annual financial statements for each business unit. * Analyze variances and perform large-scale bank reconciliations. * Control costs and budgets across different business lines. * **Tax Compliance:** * Calculate and file federal and local taxes (VAT, Income Tax, withholdings, etc.). * Respond to requests from tax authorities. * Maintain the electronic tax mailbox and ensure positive tax compliance opinions for all entities. * **Administration and Auditing:** * Coordinate external and internal audits. * Manage payroll and social security compliance (if applicable). * Implement internal controls to prevent capital leakage between companies. **3. Competency Requirements** **Education**: Bachelor’s degree in Public Accounting (Degree and Professional License mandatory). Master’s degree in Taxation preferred. **Experience**: Minimum 5–8 years in accounting firms (outsourcing) or corporate environments managing more than 10 business units simultaneously. **Software**: Advanced proficiency in ERPs (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and accounting systems (COI mandatory, CONTPAQi or similar). Expert-level Excel. **Technical Knowledge**: Mexican Financial Reporting Standards (NIF), current tax laws, and labor laws. **4. Critical Skills (Soft Skills)** Managing multiple companies requires a specific psychological profile: * **Attention to Detail:** Ability to avoid mixing information across different legal entities. * **Time Management:** Prioritization based on critical tax filing deadlines. * **Analytical Thinking:** Quickly identify financial patterns or anomalies. * **Resilience:** Ability to work under pressure, especially during month-end closings and annual tax filings. **5. Typical Hierarchical Structure** In this structure, the **Senior Accountant** typically reports directly to the Group Owner and supervises accounting assistants assigned per company or function (Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Taxes). **6. Performance Indicators (KPIs)** * **Timely Closing:** Delivery of financial statements within the first 5–7 days of the month. * **Zero Penalties:** No late-filing surcharges or sanctions. * **Audit Accuracy:** Percentage of adjustments required by external auditors (target < 2%). **7.
