Collaborate with engineering staff to analyze test results **Company:** ------------ QUALCOMM SEMICONDUCTORES Y SISTEMAS AVANZADOS DE BAJA CALIFORNIA **Job Area:** ------------- Engineering Services Group, Engineering Services Group \> Engineering Technician **General Summary:** **Engineering Technician (Operations)** **Job Overview:** * The Engineering Technician performs chipset evaluation based upon engineering specifications * Troubleshoot complex electrical circuits as well as mechanical equipment relating to the testing of chipsets * Work closely with the engineering staff to perform tests on chipset and provide analysis of test results * Setup bench testing of chipsets and test equipment used in manufacturing and software design * Has the ability to multitask several tasks throughout a 12\-hour work shift * Perform well in a fast\-paced environment * Able to work with minimal supervision * Must be a team player * Work flexible hours * Self\-starter **Minimum Qualifications:** * High School diploma or technical school degree * Shall be able to read and understand technical instructions written in English * Must be able to write reports in English * Must be able to sit or stand for 8\+ hours per day * Computer Skills using Windows/Unix OS * Ability to use hands and fingers (manual dexterity) * Possess good eyesight, both near and far * Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. occasionally **Preferred Qualifications/Experience:** * Knowledge of test equipment: Multimeter, oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, etc. * Familiar with RF circuits and/or complex digital circuits * Mechanical and/or Electronics troubleshooting skills and can follow detailed engineering directions * Experience with Semiconductor Backend Automated Test Equipment (ATE) * Experience with workplace communication tools such as MS Teams. Along with Microsoft 365 Enterprise **Preferred Educational:** * Technical school degree in electronics, Mechatronics or similar with at least 1 year of experience * Recent graduates of bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, or related * Electronics Certificate **Minimum Qualifications:** * High School diploma or equivalent.
