For more information, visit **solera.com**. **The Role** This role is for a **Principal SDET – Software Development Engineer in Test**, responsible for leading the design, development, and delivery of test automation frameworks for our next-generation software platform (computer vision, machine learning, sensor fusion, coaching workflows, reporting, high-precision alert management engines, and high-precision vehicle event analytics engines). The selected candidate will provide technical leadership in automation as part of the Software QA team and will be accountable for all aspects of the quality assurance process. This position requires strong hands-on experience testing application services in **N\-Tier** architecture and data platforms within an **Agile** development environment, as well as solid understanding of databases. **What You’ll Do** * Design, develop, document, and maintain tools, test cases, and automation designs for current and next-generation software platforms. * Collaborate with Product Management, Software Engineering, DevOps, and other technical teams on release planning and coordination. * Interpret functional requirements and designs to plan, develop, write, execute, and automate functional and data validation test plans. * Work with engineering and infrastructure teams to define and maintain development and QA environments based on **TDD/CI/CD**. * Provide feedback and influence design processes to build testable platforms, applications, and data models. * Design and embed quality, performance, and reliability from day one. * Drive effective technical execution and clear communication as a member of **Agile Scrum** teams. * Document and communicate module and automation framework functionalities, interfaces, performance criteria, test cases, and results to diverse audiences. * Estimate effort, plan, and develop tasks according to agreed scope and development milestones to meet overall project timelines. * Manage defects, including issue identification, investigation, analysis, and documentation. * Work closely with the development team on unit test reviews, issue diagnosis, resolution, and closure. * Lead or collaborate on data analysis to assess data health and consistency or identify root causes of issues. * Lead the technical vision for the assigned product. * Train engineers on new tools, methodologies, and technologies. * Mentor engineers and foster their personal and professional growth. * Identify improvement opportunities and drive/implement solutions that increase efficiency and quality. * Propose technical solutions to problems and conduct **POCs** for new tools and applications. **What You’ll Bring** * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or **8\+ years of technical experience** as an SDET or in a similar role. * More than **8 years of applied professional experience** with Selenium, Java or .NET, AI/ML, Mobile, API, and DevOps. * Knowledge and experience across the full software development lifecycle, including coding standards and reviews, version control, build processes, and testing. * Experience designing, implementing, maintaining, and scaling test automation frameworks, with emphasis on extensibility, scalability, maintainability, and high performance. * Strong experience developing and implementing **End\-to\-End** testing strategies. * Prior experience and solid understanding of **Agile** methodologies. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and ability to interact effectively across all organizational levels. * Proactive approach to problem identification, analysis, and resolution (problem\-solving and troubleshooting).
